The building fund is up and growing. We are currently looking for ways to increase it. If you have an idea, bring it to the Post. All ideas are welcome. Hopefully the fund will keep growing and the new Post Home will become a reality.

We have been named an All State Post for the second year in a row. I would like to thank all the members of the Post and the Auxiliaries whose hard work and support made this possible.

On May 17th we will be collecting for the Post relief fund by handing out “Buddy Poppies”. Please sign up for a time to help. With your support and efforts we can make this a very successful day.

On May 26th we will be conducting the Memorial Service in El Paso Cemetery at 1000 hours. Please mark your calendars and make plans to attend. This is the day when we render honors and respect formally to those who have come before us. Please help make this a successful rendering of honors.

Still Serving,

For those of you that hae the opportunity to go out and watch our youth bowlers on the 2nd, it was a great experience. But, it is not to late, you can still go watch them bowl for the next couple of weekends at West Acres. I believe squad times start at noon on both Saturday and Sunday. 5th District is the only district in the state that has the Youth Bowling turnament. We are very proud of this tradition. This is a way to support our children today for tomarrow.

Now lets get to Thanksgiving - we will be having our post Thanksgiving Dinner on Sunday, November 23rd. I am asking all the auxiliary ladies to help with the preparation and serving of the dinner. The post will provide turkey, dressing, sweet potatoes corn, green beans, mashed potatoes and rolls. Dinner will be served from 1:00-3:00 PM. Anyone wishing to just come out and jion us for the meal is urged to bring a covered dish, salad or desert. We have a lot of fun both preparing adn eating the meal. Please come out and jion us.

I look forward to seeing you Monday, November 3rd at 7:0 PM at our monthly meeting. To all of you that are celebrating birthday or anniversary, may uyou have a gtreat day. To those of you who have been ill, please get well soon.
